Keep that pee off the floor and furniture! 😜 Tiny Trainers are absorbent cotton training pants designed for babies and toddlers newborn to 5T, offering a gentle and eco-friendly transition from diapers to real undies…without getting giant puddles on your carpet or couch. 💁‍♀️

Made sweatshop-free with 100% OEKO-TEX Certified cotton, these pants are soft on sensitive skin and feature a double-layer 100% quilted cotton crotch to offer enough absorbency for small- to mid-sized accidents, making them ideal for Elimination Communication (EC) and potty training.

Their low-rise design suits babies and toddlers with a protruding belly, and the flexible waistband and 100% ribbed cotton leg gussets ensure a comfortable fit that’s easy for little hands to pull up and down…while the tag-free construction keeps them itch-free.

The Undies are the Original sizing you’re used to, if you’ve purchased from us before. If you have a smaller baby than the “norm” these should be perfect…note that they are a full size smaller than our ROOMIER line + a full size smaller than mainstream baby clothing.

Comfortable Fit

Low-rise, anatomically-correct fit for babies, young toddlers, and older toddlers who typically have a tiny waist and protruding belly; tag-free and itch-free.

ULTRA ABSORBENT

The double-layer cotton core offers superior protection against small- to mid-sized accidents much better than other brands!

FAQs

Below you will find some common questions asked by our customers about our this product.
Visit our FAQ page for more information.

During EC, many parents use training pants during outings, nighttime, and daycare, and any other time you'd like to keep pants and surfaces more dry than undies alone will keep them. Tiny Trainers have a double-layer of needle-punched cotton that will usually absorb a small to medium sized pee, but pants will probably still get wet. (Normally, though, trainers will keep the floor from becoming wet.) Most other brands of training pants do not offer this much absorbency. Learn more in Go Diaper Free.

For potty training with a 2 or 3 year old, you might find it works better going straight from diapers to undies (as opposed to training pants), simply because the undies have the least absorbancy and therefore are the least diaper-like (to help reinforce the potty training process). However, you can also use training pants as a back-up during outings, nighttime, and daycare. Learn more in The Tiny Potty Training Book.

Bottom line? The main difference between my trainers and undies is absorbency. Tiny Trainers have a double layer of needle-punched cotton in the center as well as two layers of regular cotton. Tiny Undies are a single layer of regular cotton. The choice is up to you! If you need help with your decision, hit the chat button in the corner of this page or contact us here.

Short answer: If you want to keep pants dry and your child is still having pee accidents or misses, you can cover Tiny Trainers with our TinyUps cloth pull-up covers. Tiny Trainers usually absorb a small- to medium-sized pee, but since they have no plastic or PUL layer, it’s possible the liquid can get onto the pants (and couch) as well. (Generally, the liquid does stay off the floor without a cover.) Your mileage may vary, and we offer lots of options to suit your style!

Just visit our Size Guide here to find the perfect size trainers.

This varies by child, of course, but a good start is 9-12 pairs for each child. This comes to 3 or 4 of our 3-packs. This will give you adequate stock to rotate if you have a lot of pee misses or accidents, and/or don’t get to your laundry immediately every single time.

Work great

I love them, they take a long time to dry since they're so thick but that's kind of the point. Be sure to order a size up, since they are definitely fitted.

Unrivaled

Don’t waste your time buying any other training pants! These are absorbent without being too bulky and they stand up through wash after wash after wash. Truly a great garment - gives both you and your little one the confidence needed to make it through potty training!!

Great for the EC mom + baby

My son and I have been practicing EC since he was 6 months old, and I started using undies around 13 months once he was no longer peeing in his cloth diaper during the day. I love tiny undies for him! We mostly use the bear and teal without the liner during the day, but I use the ones with the padding for long car rides and for his time with his nanny. They are very soft and they can absorb one pee or keep any #2 off your floor, but these are obviously not meant to be a diaper, this is for occasional accidents only. Regarding sizing, he is now 15 months and he wears 2T, it fits him well around the legs, waist, and under his belly. Definitely recommend for EC babies when they are ready to ditch the cloth or regular diaper.
